Hi, I’m Mel.

Speaker, content creator, and business strategist. And I believe you don't create your personal brand. It's already in you.

WHERE IT STARTED

“TWO STRONG BOYS”

When I was a kid, teachers would ask for “two strong boys" to carry the boxes of books or anything “heavy.” I'd sit there knowing I was stronger than every boy in that room. They knew it too.

I was a tomboy long before it was cool for girls to play sports. I would rather play any sport with a ball than play with dolls, and I got teased for it. It was a time when girls weren’t allowed to do certain things and it always pissed me off.

So I learned to compete, to prove myself, and to root hard for anyone else who got underestimated.

It took me years to realize moments like these weren't something to get over. They're a big part of the reason I do what I do.

FROM UNDERDOG TO STrATEGIST

That competitive streak followed me into business. I've managed multi-million dollar accounts, built the systems and relationships that help companies grow, and helped businesses figure out how to stand out. Along the way, I've collaborated with some of the most recognized names in online marketing.

Here's what I learned: the people and businesses that win aren't the loudest. They're boldly themselves and clear about who they are.

what i believe

You don't invent a personal brand. You uncover it. Your story, your quirks, even the stuff that hurt, it's all already there. You just decide how you let it out.

When you show up as who you really are, you become a magnet for the right people and opportunities. That's alignment.

IN THE GROCERY

A mutual friend introduced me to a woman in our local store. She told me she was already a listener of my podcast.

at an event

A man walked up to me to tell me my livestreams had really helped him level up his own content and grow his audience.

Moments like that remind me that likes and comments only show you the people who speak up. For every one of them, there are quiet ones listening, taking it in, and maybe finding the nerve to go after something they've been putting off.

It's why I tell every audience the same thing: keep showing up. Your people are there, even when they're quiet.

real talk

I don't have it all figured out. I get fired up, hit doubt, and choose to go anyway. Over and over. That's why audiences connect with me. I'm not preaching from a mountaintop. I'm in the gap with them, cheering loud.

Fair warning: I'm competitive, high energy, and I'll probably make you laugh. Oh, and I occasionally drop a colorful word or two. Sorry, Mom.

Fun Fact: I was my high school mascot, so you know I will bring the enerrgy.
